At the request of the local people, the Bishop of Ujjain Late Mar John Perumattam consented to begin a convent at Khadi and thus Nava Jeevan Convent was opened on 3rd August 1980. This is a centre famous for treatment for snake poison. Village visiting, forming self help groups, small saving account programme, health awareness programme etc are the other activities of the centre.
